By Wong Herbert Yee
This is a graphic novel about Hammy and Gerbee, a hamster and a gerbil. They are friends and they are in the same class. One day they go to the museum – a Science museum. There are mummies – the wrapped the ones, not the mommies. Hammy and Gerbee decided to play a trick on their class. They go to the bathroom and wrap themselves in toilet paper. Lots of funny things happen as they walk around the museum.
This is a funny book. It is a quick book candy and lots of fun. The illustrations are simple but go with the story. The lesson is mummies are tall, not short.
If you live in Michigan, you could meet the author this Sunday at the book launch for this book.
Hi Bridget, thanks for the great review of Hammy and Gerbee. Hope to see you Sunday.
