Yes, Deborah is on the blog a lot. We really like her and have become friends with her. She sent us a couple F&Gs of upcoming books and this was one of them.
Have you ever had a walrus in your bathtub? In this book, it talks about the ups and downs of having a walrus in your bathtub. It is funny. It starts when the family finds their new house has a walrus in the bathtub. The boy makes a list of all the bad things with a walrus in the bathtub. At the end, he writes a list of the good things because the walrus was just trying to be nice.
This is a story about making assumptions. You would think having a walrus is a bad thing, like he is trying to make a mess. But after the walrus shows them a paper on how to make a new family welcome, he is trying to be nice. You shouldn’t make assumptions without asking some questions.
I liked the walrus was just trying to be nice. Sometimes a person’s nice is different than how you would. I loved the artwork. It was very colorful and detailed and nice.
I give this 15 walrus stars ππππππππππππ
